CRAFT SOCIALS
Roughly once a month, we run some crafting social events before our regular evening services at the Gathering, which take place in the adjacent café.

These are relaxed, informal events where we all bring our own craft (such as crochet, drawing, embroidery etc.) and have the opportunity to relax and socialise in a chill, sober environment. We try to keep the lights dim and the space quiet so that it provides a calm and relaxing space for those with sensory issues.

Occasionally a volunteer might run a station at a craft event where they’re able to teach people how to do a particular craft activity, but most of the time we all just bring our pencils and crochet hooks and hang out together!

We also use these socials as an opportunity to create some of the resources we use at Pride, such as the banners we use in the parade, and the crocheted crosses and hearts we give out for free at our Pride stalls.
