It still hurts to this day that we weren't supported together in marriage as a couple by our local churches.

 

However we were able to have the most wonderful blessing undertaken by Rev. Delyth Lidell at our wedding venue, which was very special & personal to us. To find a loving, caring & inclusive church like The Gathering in Cardiff has been a huge blessing in our life, and it is amazing that we are recognised and loved as a gay married couple.

 

We hold out hope that change is not too far on the horizon, that gay marriage will be supported by Welsh Churches, both denominational and independent. When that day comes, it will be a huge day for the LGBTQ+ community.

 

We all look forward to the day when we can attend a gay wedding in the house of God! To share this journey with Sam has been a whirlwind, and I'm very thankful to God that we matched on Tinder that day!
